International Network for the Sonic Arts (Organisations)
Son.Net is an network with an international scope, focused on cultural, knowledge and skills exchange between organisations that encourage risk taking, nurture critical listening and provide innovative platforms and facilities for those practicing and researching in and around sound.
Son.Net is open to new and establish organisations curating, exhibiting, platforming and ultimately promoting the Sound Arts.
This network is to be seen as a locus for similarly-minded groups, distanced only by location, and should be utilised for collective development. Son.Net fosters breadth of engagement between its members and encourages audience development. Through such communication, Son.Net members will have access to knowledge of sonic art practice and research across the globe, further strengthening bonds between organisations working within the field.
Son.Net provides simple means for organisations to share ideas and initiate cross-platform research; arrange tours/touring exhibitions between organisations; and organise events to showcase and strengthen research and creativity within this field of interest and specialism.
Organisations interested in joining this network should send Son.Net an email introducing their work, along with a weblink directing Son.Net to their online presence (where applicable).
Please join our Sound-Centric Community if you are an individual artist, collective, researcher, sound designer/engineer or curator.
